Note: The central government of India has launched the Nec Merit Scholarship for Students Of Ner For Higher Professional Courses. To provide financial help for education to the students of North East states of India, the authority has launched the Nec Merit Scholarship for Students Of Ner For Higher Professionals. With the help of this scholarship, the financially unstable students can pursue higher education and complete their course without facing any financial struggles. Scholarship is only available to students who are residents of the North East states of India. The students can simply visit the official website and apply for the scholarship online to avail the benefits. 

The main objective of launching the Nec Merit Scholarship for Students Of Ner is to allow the students of North East India to pursue their higher education without any financial struggles. All the students of North East India who are pursuing a diploma, degree, post-graduation, or PHD are allowed to avail the benefits of the scholarship. The financial help of INR 20000 to INR 30000 will be given to the selected students under the scheme based on the education they are pursuing. All the students who have an annual income of less than INR 8 lakh per year will be selected.

• The student must be a permanent resident of any North Eastern State of India.
• Scholarship is available only for the duration of the course; no extensions allowed.
• Integrated course students will receive a scholarship for the full course duration.
• Students who are pursuing M.Phil. are allowed to receive a scholarship for 2 years;  students who are pursuing Ph.D. are allowed to receive a scholarship for 3 years.
• Students must not receive any other scholarship or financial help during the same period.
• The students must apply for a scholarship in the first year of their course.
• The students must be pursuing a Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate, M.Phil., Ph.D (after registration).
• The annual income of the student’s family must not exceed INR 8 lakh

Scholarship Amount (Fresh and Renewal Cases):

• Diploma: INR 20,000 per annum
• Degree: INR 22,000 per annum
• Postgraduate: INR 25,000 per annum
• M.Phil./Ph.D: INR 30,000 per annum

• The students will be selected on the basis of their clearance of who can apply rules.
• The students must be pursuing higher education to be selected under the scholarship.
• Students must be residents of the North East states of India to be selected. 
• Students must fill out the application form before the last date to confirm their selection under the scholarship.

• STEP 1: All the students who want to apply for the NEC Merit Scholarship are requested to visit the NSP website.

• STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website, they must locate and click on the option called “register”.

• STEP 3: A guideline form will appear on your desktop screen. The citizens must read carefully and scroll down and click on the option “next”. 
• STEP 4: A new page will appear on your desktop screen. students must enter their mobile number and OTP that they have received on the registered mobile number.
• STEP 5: The students must enter the captcha code and click on the option “check” to move on to the next page. 
• STEP 6: Now the students must complete the eKYC process by entering the details that are asked and click on the option “next”. 
• STEP 7: Now on the last page the students must enter all the additional details including their address, education and bank account details.
• STEP 8: After entering all the details, the students can click on the option “send” to complete their process
